Britain: You can’t just make your own nation.
George Washington: Watch me.
It’s that time of year, once again. Communities come together to celebrate America’s anniversary of independence. Parades, picnics, flags, and fireworks: they’re all hallmarks of the fourth. And I, for one am very proud that I get to live in a country that celebrates not only the best of it’s individual citizens but, also what makes them different. America may have it’s problems but, it get’s through them. As of Independence day in 2015, same-sex marriage is the law of the land, healthcare has made significant steps forward, and a national conversation about racial discrimination has been brought to the center of the American public’s attention. Like the mighty waters of a raging river; progress marches on in the United States. I am proud of the progress, and I am proud of the United States. From everyone at What’s the Talk!: Happy Independence Day!
